My name is David J. Winsch and I have been teaching K-6 Art for the past 10 years at Laramie County School District Number 2 in southeast Wyoming. My district is just east of Cheyenne, WY. I spilt my time between four elementary schools that are named after the communities they serve. You are probably shocked that I teach at four schools and to be honest I was shocked too when I was told that I would be teaching at four schools. I have come to view this as a positive rather than a negative. I am also a member of the GCAAC (Greater Cheyenne Art Advisory Council). The purpose of this committee is to advise the mayor of Cheyenne in regards to art and its value in our community.

I created this blog to create connections with my colleagues in my county, state and the world to encourage curiosity that leads to discoveries, inspiration, and creativity in art and art education. As the only elementary art teacher in my district I am looking forward to the connections with my fellow Wyoming Art Educators and others that find inspiration, ideas, and a place to share in the world of blogs.
